The owner and operator of a unique collection of London bars and restaurants.
Overview
In February 2019, Puma Funds invested £5 million to help the team secure venues in major redevelopment areas in London. The company owns and operates a unique collection of bars and restaurants across London.
At the time of the investment, the business ran The Lighterman in King’s Cross (Granary Square) and Percy & Founders in Fitzrovia. It was looking to secure new venues in areas that were being positioned as new centres for retail, hospitality and day-to-day life. The investment has helped Open House to develop its existing properties and create a new venue – The Broadcaster at White City.

About Open House
Open House was launched in 2015 by the team behind the Cubitt House Group, who established four successful restaurants in central London that were later sold to private investors in a competitive acquisition.
Since launching Open House, the brand has gained a considerable following at its sought-after, high-footfall locations in London’s Fitzrovia and King’s Cross. Open House’s distinct proposition, ongoing success and management expertise have created an exciting platform from which to continue the brand’s expansion. Our investment will support the business in achieving its plans for future growth through further flagship units across London.

Our investment view
Rupert West, Managing Director of Puma Growth Partners“In these tough trading conditions, the experience of the right management team can really come to the fore. The team at Open House are careful about its trade and are working exceptionally hard to streamline processes and reduce costs. The stylish venues continue to win rave reviews and regularly feature on the lists of places to be seen. We are delighted to be working with the team at Open House, and are looking to a period of more stable trading over the coming months.”
